COVERAGE: Greeks March to U.S. Embassy to Protest Bombing of Syria

Thousands of Greeks turned up at a rally and march in central Athens on Tuesday to protest the recent US-led airstrikes against Syria.

The protesters gathered on Tuesday at Athens’ central Syntagma Square before marching to the US Embassy while chanting anti-US slogans and carrying banners.

Some threw eggs in the direction of the US Embassy, and others burnt Israeli and US flags. Police vehicles barricaded access to the embassy and protesters left peacefully.
